Hazrat-e Zeinab (SA) Nat’l Congress to Be Held in Qom

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - A national congress discussing Hazrat-e Zeinab’s (SA) scientific and spiritual character is scheduled to be held on June 7 and 8 in the holy city of Qom, Iran.Speaking at a press conference on June 5, Mahdi Mahdavinejad, commander of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Qom Province, added that “the congress has already been held in different provinces and would continue in Qom on a national level.”“There have been many uprisings against oppressors throughout history that were not truly followed and, therefore, failed; but some have been so influential that could change the course of history and are still remembered by all.”“One of such unforgettable uprising was led by Imam Hussein (AS) and his faithful companions that its message could not have been conveyed to us so perfectly without Hazrat-e Zeinab (SA),” he went on to say.Highlighting the lofty character of Hazrat-e Zeinab (SA) and her significant role in conveying various aspects and messages of Imam Hussein’s (AS) movement to the next generations, Mahdavinejad noted that the value of Hazrat-e Zeinab (SA) lies in meekly performing her duty before God.“As such, the congress will be devoted to discuss the scientific status, spiritual character, wisdom and insight, as well as educational role of Hazrat-e Zeinab (SA) that have been determined and approved in specialized committees.”“Call for papers under 18 themes has been sent to 350 academic centers, universities, ministries, as well as academic and research centers across the country and the best articles will be presented at the congress.”Mahdavinejad went on to say that Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani and Hojat-ol-Islam Saeedi are respectively the speakers of the opening and closing ceremony of the congress and Ayatollah Hosseini Boushehri will also speak at the event.Also, Ms. Alasavand and Ms. Mojtahedzadeh are expected to give speeches on the second day of the conference, he said. /129
